Oh Canada

With all the flurry of recent activity on the blog tip, I decided to post the pics from my recent trip to Canvouver. It was super snowy up there which while cold and unexpected, was surprisingly refreshing.

The Farewell Transmission

This blog is officially retired. Since this will be the final post I decided to put up the lyrics of my most favorited song ever coincidentally titled The Farewell Transmission

The whole place is dark
Every light on this side of the town
Suddenly it all went down
Now we'll all be brothers of the fossil fire of the sun
Now we will all be sisters of the fossil blood of the moon
Someone must have set us up
Now they'll be working in the cold grey rock, in the hot mill steam... in the concrete
In the sirens and the silences now all the great set up hearts - all at once start to beat
After tonight if you don't want us to be a secret out of the past
I will resurrect it, I'll have a good go at it
I'll streak his blood across my beak and dust my feathers with his ashes
I can feel his ghost breathing down my back
I will try and know whatever I try, I will be gone but not forever
The real truth about it is no one gets it right
The real truth about it is we're all supposed to try
There ain't no end to the sands I've been trying to cross
The real truth about it is my kind of life's no better off
If I've got the maps or if I'm lost
The real truth about it is there ain't no end to the desert I'll cross
I've really known that all along
Mama here comes midnight with the dead moon in its jaws
Must be the big star about to fall
Long dark blues
Will o the wisp
The big star is falling
Through the static and distance
A farewell transmission

Hawaii is Awesome

I had such a good time. The most relaxing vacation I have had in a long time. I snorkeled, hiked, surfed, attended a Luau, stuffed my face with good food, and I went to the beach every day. It was also really nice to spend an extended period of time with my family. As you get older you tend to grow apart from your family, and for me this experience brought me closer to them. It made me realize that we are definetely related. I also started to notice things that I sort of took for granted or ignored when I was younger. I have finally learned to appreciate how great my family is.

Anyway, just click on the picture above to see the pictures from the trip.

A little update on me real quick:
- I am surfing at least every 2 days.
- I got a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT
- I am going to Hawaii this Saturday!!!

Ugh...remind me never to bulletize my life again. Even though all of these things contribute to my happiness, it is still sort of depressing.

Anyway, I spend most of my free time in the ocean or studying Japanese, and I recently got this camera, but so far I have only gone on one full date with it yet so not hot photo action as of yet. Here are a few pics from our first date. Nothing too exciting, but there is definetely an improvement in the quality of the pictures. I should have some great pics from Hawaii though.

Nothing else too new on the life side. Going to Big Sur for Camping and Hiking at the end of May and going to see the Arctic Monkeys in June. Nothing else is really planned as of yet, just to work for a while. My friend Erin moved out to Seattle so I am glad to see some people starting to migrate west. It would be a cool trend if more people I know started to do that. *wink*

I hate these sporadic updates so I will try to update more often with hilarious and exciting stories. Ciao.

My Surfboard

There is actually a huge crack in the end of it so the Red Rocket is in the surfboard infirmary.

The Most Awesomest Onsie Ever...

...and I got it for him.

Great Song

Please listen to The Commander Thinks Aloud by the Long Winters.

I know this song is from 2004, but I just heard it for the first time and I am already in love with it.
